- Smiling – She is certainly smiling at us from time to time, mostly when we don’t ask for it. If we ask her for it or crowd our faces in after a nice smile, she cries.
- Gazing – When we talk to her she seems to look right into our eyes, listening intently. I’m sure that will last right up until her teen years.
- Head Raising – She is getting better and better at holding her head up when she is vertical. She also lifts her head up when she is laying on her stomach.
- Cooing – Making a sound other than crying is a huge improvement for Mommy and Daddy. She could have us tearing our hair out for 10 minutes with her screaming and one little coo and we are over the moon.
For those of you keeping score, according to her doctor, Grace is acting like a 5-week-old, though her head raising is more like a 3-month old. Daddy’s little genius.
