We got back from Las Vegas yesterday to find that not only was Grace a better listener (owing to her unusual ear growth) but she had a little more in the way of talking. She seems to have added “Lincoln” to her internal dictionary, which sounds like “ink ing” to the rest of the world.

We also hear reports from Queen Grammie that she had managed to get herself almost to a stand in her crib. If not for the lack of maneuverability caused by her sleep sack, she might have made it all the way. This morning, she woke up nice and early to show us that she could, if fact, figure it out and up she stood.
Now we find (according to the phonecall I just got) that she has a second tooth, this time coming in from the top. If she can get another one up there, I think it will go nicely with the ears. Now that I think about it, if the sleep sack forces her to jump instead of walk, we will have to start keeping an eye on her behind for any sudden outcropping of a cotton-like tail.
Then again, all of that might make rubbing her feet lucky for Mommy and Daddy’s next trip.
